STORM GU14 started their soccer season off strong medaling as a Finalist in the Copa Laguna tournament (June 12 & 13). The team’s overall record, playing against Coast League teams, was an impressive 2 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss. STORM GU14’s first game was a 2 to 1 win over Laguna Niguel SC Blue. Game two was a crushing last minute loss of 1 to 0 against the Pateadores. Game three ended in a tie of 1 to 1 against the Claremont Stars. In the fourth game STORM GU14 faced the undefeated tournament team, the ISC Strikers. Both teams battling hard to medal in the tournament, STORM turned up the intensity winning the game 3 to 2. Competition stays strong against two teams that medaled in this tournament, as both STORM and the Pateadores competed to the round of 8 in the 2010 State Cup games.
